After school art classes
In the after school classes at Galerie Alpine the students have been developing drawing and painting techniques of the alpine landscape, inspired by the wonderful paintings by local artists around the gallery. Our artist of the month has been Ernst Ludwig Kirchner – a German Expressionist – who has inspired our beautiful watercolour pencil emulations of his brightly coloured mountain scenes. Next month we will be studying the Russian abstract painter Wassily Kandinsky.
Courses for adults
A new course of drawing and painting evening classes for adults begins in February on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm-7.30pm. I aim to help develop people’s confidence with drawing, using pastels and watercolour painting techniques inspired by still life studies and the local landscape. Places are limited so please reserve in advance, no experience is necessary and materials are included in the fee.
